Former Dumas Resident/Author Honored

PR.COM - Deryl O. Stephens Recognized by Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide Publication

Deryl O. Stephens, of Dumas, Texas, has been included in the Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide Edition for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of publishing.

Mr. Stephens has had several years of experience as a freelance writer. He has been writing fiction since 1981. He has published two short stories, one trilogy, many poems and six novels, including “A Father for His Son.” He also has won seven awards for his poems, short stories and novels. Mr. Stephens received a B.A. in English, Creative Writing, Spanish and Psychology from West Texas A&M University and N.T.S.U. in 1972.

He is a member of the Panhandle Professional Writers Association and the High Plains Poetry Society. Mr. Stephens was formerly employed as a Mariner Engineer from 1967 to 1978. He is presently involved with the Mutual Admiration Society #9, in Canyon, Texas, where he currently resides and where he enjoys dancing, swimming and collecting antiques.
