Downtown Dumas is not a local news organization. We are a community based website that offers local news stories for our followers.

We collect links to Dumas related news stories from online news agencies in our area. We compile and publish these links on our news page along with a brief description from the publishers article. When a visitor clicks on a news story link they are taken to the original publishers website to view the entire article.

Can I submit a news article to be published on Downtown Dumas?

Downtown Dumas is not a local news organization. We are a community based website that offers local news stories for our followers.

We currently do not take submissions for news articles. However, if you have seen a Dumas related news story online and would like to submit the link you can do so here: Click here to submit a news article

The link will then be published on the Downtown Dumas news page after a brief review process from our staff.

Why are you not publishing news stories from some local news outlets?

Our system scans the web looking for news articles which are related to the Dumas and Moore County Texas area. When a news article is found it is added to our news page.

If you feel a specific news agency is not being included on our site please send us a link of the news agency website. We will see if the agency's website is compatible with our systems and attempt to include it.

How is my business or organization rated using ratings & reviews?

Ratings & reviews of local places are determined by visitors to our site and NOT by Downtown Dumas.

When a visitor looks at the bottom of a local places profile page they will see a ratings & review section. In this section of the page visitors can rate a local place by selecting a 1 through 5 star rating then clicking the send button.

Visitors also have the option to write a detailed review of the business by clicking the write review button. After they have typed in their review they press the send button to save their review.

Downtown Dumas looks over each review submission before final publishing to ensure no spam or abusive language is published on the site.
